Thursday's Thought: Inspiration

Every so often in the past I have suffered from 'photographers block' - no fresh ideas - no inclination even to pick up a camera and create anything. And it feels horrible!

The answer is actually just to pick up a camera and shoot anything and in doing so you reconnect with what makes your creativity tick. Suddenly those ideas you wanted or were struggling for, pop into your mind's eye.

What has really helped me has been working on my 365 project - the prompt every day (from captureyour365.com) makes me look, think and more importantly, take photos.I don't shoot to the prompt everyday but it starts the thought processes. It doesn't feel like work and yet it has accelerated my creative work and my notebook of ideas is filling up! So..shoot often...shoot anything that grabs you...you can never quite tell when that inspiration will just grab you!!
